Department of Orthopaedic Surgery | Application Process

Residency Positions for 2008-2009

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery's Residency Acceptance & Review Committee will conduct interviews for residency positions for 2008-2009 on six evenings in fall-winter, 2007-2008. The interview selections will be made between mid-November and mid-January. Selected candidates will be contacted via email or telephone to schedule an interview.

Application Requirements

All application materials are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The application deadline is November 1, 2007. Applications must include:

  • an ERAS application form

  • curriculum vitae  

  • personal statement  

  • three letters of recommendation (one from the chairman of orthopaedic surgery)

  • transcripts

  • USMLE scores

  • a photograph (to be used for identification purposes during the interview)

It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the required records and correspondence have been submitted to ERAS prior to the deadline. No late applications will be considered. Senior Clerkship Application Requirements

We no longer require a separate application for our senior clerkship. Please check the the Visiting Students page of the Feinberg School of Medicine website for the general application form.
