A large private teaching hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital provides residents with extensive operative experience in all areas of general and subspecialty orthopaedics except general pediatrics. The geographic proximity to the research facilities available at the Feinberg School of Medicine give residents the opportunity pursue research in engineering, prosthetics, and orthotics.

Conference Schedule
Evanston Hospital's active arthroscopic surgery center provides residents of our program with experience in adult reconstructive orthopaedics, sports medicine, and student clinics. In addition, the emergency room gives residents exposure to the community, covering both pediatric and adult cases.
VA Lakeside Medical Center

The VA offers experience in large outpatient clinics (45-60 patients, twice a week). The resident has an opportunity to diagnose, treat, and follow up with patients long-term. Residents can also gain excellent surgical experience in all types of adult orthopaedic procedures.
John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County

Conference Schedule
Fourth-year residents complete two 5-6 week rotations at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County (formerly Cook County Hospital). Cases offer experience in routine fracture work, exposure to multiple trauma cases, and postoperative care. The hand service conducts three clinics per week giving residents the opportunity to gain operative experience in traumatic hand injuries and infections.
Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation
Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation is a multi-specialty physician organization with over 500 physicians in more than 40 specialties. The full-time faculty of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery are members of Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and share the Foundation's committment of providing quality clinical care and advancing medicine through education and research.
