Subspecialty Certificate in Sports Medicine
The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) will begin issuing subspecialty certificates in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in the fall of 2007. Any diplomat that meets the ABOS requirements may apply, however, beginning in 2012, diplomats must have completed an ACGME accredited sports medicine fellowship in addition to the ABOS requirements in order to apply for the certificate. Please visit the ABOS website for information about the certificate application requirements.
Instructions for the SAFER & Impaired Physicians Tests
Safer Test:
To complete the SAFER test, please follow these steps in order:
1. Download the SAFER test and type your answers or place an "x" next to the appropriate answers.
2. When the test prompts you, stop answering the questions and review the SAFER PowerPoint presentation.
3. Complete the remaining questions.

The Impaired Physicians (T.I.P.) Test :
1. Please review the Impaired Physicians powerpoint presentation.
2. Download the T.I.P. test and answer the questions by placing an "x" next to the appropriate answers.
